Apple and android devices testing

Hi, I'm unable to get success results from mobile devices in Dulles. I tried to do it via API using my api-key and following options:
{location: "Dulles_iPhone6.3GFast"} and {location: Dulles_GalaxyS7.3GFast}.

There is error for both options:

WPTagent working well but browsers list is empty

Hi guys
I was install and run Private instance on a windows server 2016
I just renamed connectivity.ini.sample to connectivity.ini and edited locations.ini
locations.ini:

Multiple instances

Hi,

Is any possibility to run the multiple instances of the test cases parallelly in private instances?

Now, the client agent will open the single browser and will do the needful, is any option to multiple browsers at the same time?

WptAgent docker container is getting bigger

Hi!
I have private instance of WPT in Docker containers. I have done everything exacly as described here.
Running tests is working fine, but container with agent is getting bigger with every test. At the beginning, its size was about 25MB, but after 25 tests it grown to 650MB. I am running tests from command line using node.js wpt wrapper.
Is that a normal situation, and if not, how can I prevent wptagent container from expanding?

EDIT: here are the parameters I call runTest method with:

Video output appears cropped in scripted test

Hi,

I ran into a weird issue today on webpage test. Please see the filmstrip view of a scripted test here

This is the third step. All I can see is a cropped version of the whole page. I also tried setting Capture Full Size Video in Advanced tab but still it didn't work. The video output of step 1 seems fine.

Am I missing something here?

Pb with specific location

Since september last year, we are monitoring our website perfs using webpagetest (Strasburg_FR Location). All went right until 3 weeks ago when we started to receive "Invalid location" response.

We checked everything and we can't figure how come we get those "Invalid location" response, specialy because
- Strasburg_FR appears as a valid location in https://www.webpagetest.org/getLocations.php?f=html
- Tests runs ok @Strasburg_FR when launched through webpagetest.org

I'm totaly aware i could switch to others locations but Strasburg_FR is kind of our baseline and we'd like to keep it that way if that location is still open for tests.

Any Help on that matter would be greatly appreciated.

How to link API key to Account History?

So I'm trying to setup weekly scans of specified pages, and stumbled on this article.

The process works great, however I'd like to have the runs included in my webpagetest website history, is there a process I need to follow to further link my API key to my WPT account?

Using LetsEncrypt Certificates Properly doubles First Byte Time

Dear Forum,

We are using LetsEncrypt Lego SSL certificates and testing our websites with WebPageTest.org. After repeatedly testing we have concluded that we get a "B" and "820 ms First Byte Time" if we provide our own plus the LetsEncrypt's Intermediate Certificate "Let’s Encrypt Authority X3 (IdenTrust cross-signed)" https://letsencrypt.org/certs/lets-encry...ed.pem.txt

However, if we cut out the intermediate certificate, we get an "A" and "432 ms First Byte Time". So, by not providing an intermediate certificate, we can show a better result to our clients. However, a test like Qualys SSL Labs complains with "This server's certificate chain is incomplete. Grade capped to B."

What is the right thing to do here? A with WebPageTest.org or A with Qualys?

We are using our own server with the newest versions of Apache/OpenSSL/Lego, and loading the certificates like:

We would like have an A with both tests. :-)

Test history got lost after OS upgrade

After I upgraded my macOS to the latest version, it seems that the test history got lost even browsing with the same browser account.

Is it possible to get them back?

I need to test the performance of a webpage for my project but the issue is I cannot put the URL like other websites because it is an online banking site and if you do not login, they cancel the request.
Any suggestions?

setCookie not working for tests run on Iphone agent

Noticed the setCookie method not working for tests triggered on iphone agent using any browser like chrome , firefox..etc.

i have tried by setting following iphone user agents too, but doesn't seems to be working.

Waterfall pushed resource requests

Hi All,


I noticed something strange in the waterfall diagrams. Assets which are being pushed do have content in the request tab. Since the client does not request the resources there should be a request, only a response.

Could it be that the the request is being added if that same file later on is requested by the client?

I discovered this because for another reason pushes are being blocked by our cdn internally and therefore 401 headers are being returned.
